We carried out a carpet tile replacement project over 2 floors in the head offices of Santander, out of hours, to ensure no downtime to staff or normal working hours. With all desks and computer equipment left running, our team uplifted and replaced approx.

5000sqm of carpet tiles, including movement of all fixtures required. Works were carried out successfully through main contractor Railston.


We carried out resin flooring installations for B&Q over approx. 50+ stores in 4 months, for a refurb programme in their wall and window departments. Working alongside the retail change partners at B&Q, we carried out a planned programme of works installing resin flooring to exposed areas of the stores, following movement of racking by the implementation teams.

Covering over 2000sqm of resin flooring, these works have been replicated during several other departmental refurb programmes.

Over the past 15 years, working with both head office directly and selected main contractors, Designs 4 You have carried out flooring installations throughout the UK and parts of Europe for new build programmes as well as refurbishment programmes. With works being carried on each store over 2-3 nights, the stores were able to continue trading without loss of takings or affecting the stores opening hours.

Stores typically measure up to 200sqm, the programmes at the busiest period’s required 2-3 stores a week, and include different floorcoverings such as Amtico tiles, polyflor tiles or ceramic tiles depending on location.

In 2014, we worked alongside a large contractor helping to launch a new greeting card brand, owned by WH Smith. With a small time frame and tight deadlines, we helped to complete 25 stores over approx. 60 days, installing Amtico luxury vinyl tiles in the front of house sections, and Polyflor tiles to back of house areas.

Due to how delicate the timings were for trades on each site, works were carried out both out of hours and within normal hours depending on the requirement of the main contractor.
